Pick up a perspective
A new passenger and an editorially curated news topic arrive each day. Meet the person before the opinion.
COZY DRIVING. REAL CONVERSATIONS.
ONE CITY. A THOUSAND OPINIONS.
Your cab. Their world. A little common ground.
Pick up a stranger and take the conversation somewhere new.
01 / THE CONCEPT
A cozy driving game about the people we meet—and the things we don’t always agree on.
You are a taxi driver in a stylised, contemporary Bombay. Between sea-facing roads, busy markets and rain-washed streets, strangers enter your back seat carrying their own stories, beliefs and contradictions.
Your destination is on the map. Your real challenge is in the conversation: listen, ask thoughtful questions and find a point of genuine agreement before the ride ends.
This isn’t about winning an argument. It’s about making room for someone else’s world, without losing your own.
02 / THE DAILY RITUAL
Like a daily puzzle, everyone starts with the same news-led brief. What happens in your taxi is entirely yours.
SAMPLE NEWSBITE · NOT A CURRENT HEADLINE
A proposal to pedestrianise a busy market street sparks a debate about cleaner air, small businesses and everyday access.
FARAH, FROM THE BACK SEAT
“Cleaner streets sound lovely. But if my customers can’t get here, who pays my rent?”
TRY A CONVERSATION APPROACH
Start with her livelihood. Understanding the concern opens a route to a shared solution.
Scripted concept preview. The proposed game uses open-ended AI conversation.
A new passenger and an editorially curated news topic arrive each day. Meet the person before the opinion.
Take a gentle route through Bombay while you talk by text or voice. Assisted driving keeps the conversation comfortable.
Explore trade-offs and work towards a specific shared conclusion. Respectful disagreement can still be part of a good ride.
The passenger leaves a tip reflecting how well you listened, understood and connected. Bank it, compare your score, share a line.
The city has something new to say tomorrow.
One scored daily ride, a shared starting point and a reason to come back.
03 / THE BACK SEAT
AI-driven passengers have social, political, environmental and everyday inclinations. None is reduced to a side of a debate.
Architect · cycles when she can
Dreams of a greener city, but knows good intentions don’t make everyone’s commute easier.
“Can a city breathe without asking someone else to hold their breath?”
Retired clerk · devoted newspaper reader
Values stability and public accountability. New ideas have to earn his trust, one honest question at a time.
“I’m not against change. I just want to know who it changes things for.”
Student · aspiring filmmaker
Strong views on fairness and belonging. Quick to question the system, slower to reveal her own doubts.
“Everyone says this city belongs to us. Who exactly is ‘us’?”
Illustrative fictional passengers. Each character would have a personal history, emotional state and a consistent worldview—not just a prompt to disagree.
OCCASIONAL SPECIAL RIDES
Special guest episodes could feature public figures, artists or cultural personalities, speaking in their licensed voices about topics connected to their work. Every appearance would be consented, clearly labelled and built around approved material.
04 / A DIFFERENT KIND OF HIGH SCORE
Earn tips for connection.
Climb the city’s public leaderboard.
Passengers tip for attentive listening, thoughtful questions and a meaningful point of consensus. Agreeing with everything—or pressuring someone to change their mind—shouldn’t pay better.
Reach the daily tip target, keep your streak and build your weekly standing. A common scenario and one scored attempt per day make the competition comparable.
Proposed scoring: a transparent rubric, calibrated AI evaluation and abuse checks. No reward for choosing a particular political position.
ONE RIDE. A LITTLE MORE UNDERSTANDING.
06 / THE ROAD AHEAD
A game that makes staying informed feel inviting, and encountering difference feel human.
A stylised 3D city with hand-painted textures, monsoon reflections, sea breeze, familiar street sounds and a warm radio soundtrack. Gentle driving, no punishing collisions and space to simply be present.
Curated reporting becomes a source-linked daily brief, with facts separated from opinions. NPCs stay grounded in that brief; sensitive stories get editorial care. Examples on this site are fictional.
Begin with one playable 3D route, then expand into a connected South Bombay slice with original passengers, text conversation, assisted driving, tip scoring and quote-card export. The 12-month production roadmap maps this first release to a ?50 lakh budget.
Optional voice with text access. Transparent AI characters. Player control over shared quotes. Privacy-conscious conversation handling. News-source attribution and moderation designed in from the start.
THE METER IS RUNNING. THE WORLD CAN WAIT A MOMENT.
